I got back from visiting family in Switzerland last Saturday. My parents own a house on top of an alp in Graubuenden called the Schmittner Alp. It's almost 2000m above sea level a beautiful place. It does sometimes snow in summer there but this year we were surprised by a massive snow storm. It snowed for 3 days straight and it was cold. I couldn't believe this was happening at the beginning of September. At first I was rather disappointed because the view was so limited do to the snow and fog. I went ahead and shot some pictures anyway. After looking at them back in NY I decided I enjoyed these images a lot as they once again fall into my favorite, limited colors, flat space and shapes, categories. I like how they almost become abstract do to their simplicity.
