I love pears. Next to lemons they are my favorite fruit. I like how they look simple but can taste divine. Nikki graciously volunteered to by my queen of pears. I wanted to go simple with this one and just work on the shapes. I thought adding a turban would be interesting. I also thought perhaps the shape from the chest to neck to round turban would sort of resemble a pear shape. Took a few tries to get it to sit right but I liked how it came out. I was sure I was going to have to run over there every few minutes and re-adjust it but it actually didn't move the entire shoot. I didn't add much embellishments to this one. Nikki has beautiful eyes and I figured she would make it interesting enough. She was great, didn't get tired at all and held some strenuous poses. I know it looks easy because they are just sitting but in fact all their muscles are tense and I always ask for uncomfortable stuff like squeezing the shoulder blades way together while keeping the shoulders down. Not easy when you have to hold it trust me. As you can see Nikki is heavily tattooed on her back. You can see a little creeping forward on the front too, I haven't decided if I was going to remove that from the image. I try not to do much photoshop work like that but I like a clean look, we'll see. Like with the other shots I added a green gel to bring out the green in the image. Lauren as always did the make up.
