Nikki Queen Of Pears

Took me long enough. The last few weeks are a blur. Too many things happening right now. All good things though. Just finished prepping my stuff for a group show in Vermont and am trying to get the prints done for my August show. Did I mention how much I hate dealing with printing. It's such a pain getting everything right.

Anyway, big thank you to Nikki and Lauren for their help on this shoot. I had to do a quick pass through the images, I might go back and take another look when I have more time.

This weekend I'm hoping to do some drawing. I need a break from all the photography stuff.

Oh and if you haven't seen the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the MET........ go see it. It's amazing, inspiring, breathtaking...... just beautiful stuff. Pick a good time to go, the lines can be long. I went at 8pm on a Friday which turned out to be a good call. Seriously though, go see it.

Yayy! And wow!! Love the eye-popping color!! Definitely agree with Jane and Alena about the stacked pears! I love that there is some blended pigment on her fingers and how that blends in with the green bounce light underneath her arm.... very subtle, very awesome.

Yeah! what is next D!! :)

I agree with Alena: the word "refreshing" captures these latest pictures very well.
(and just today I bought pears at our local market... Just another case of synchronicity? ~ I think I'll have one now)

Great Job Diana! When will there be more to see?
(Signed: an admirer of your work)
